Academic Internship Program
Set Yourself Up for Success
At RMU, we believe internships are an important part of your college experience. Internships offer you an opportunity to explore options and clarify career goals, apply classroom knowledge to the real world, increase self-confidence, build a professional network, and gain relevant experience. In addition, according to the National Association of Colleges and Employers (NACE) Job Outlook 2024, “When employers are deciding between candidates who are otherwise equally qualified for the same position, having an internship is the top deciding factor.”
Through the Academic Internship Program, students have the option to apply to receive academic credit for an internship experience. To be eligible for the program, the student and the internship position must be approved by the Academic Department. Approved students will enroll in an academic internship course.
