Handshake For Employers

Handshake is RMU’s official career platform that connects employers with talented students and alumni for internships, part-time jobs, full-time positions, and career events. Employers can create a free account to post opportunities, register for career fairs and events, and engage with our campus community. All employers must be approved in Handshake to engage with our students and alumni.

This process ensures a secure, efficient experience while maximizing your organization’s visibility across campus. Creating a Handshake employer account is relatively simple, providing direct access to connect with our skilled, career-ready students.

Get Started with Handshake

Follow the steps below to create your account, set up your company profile, and start connecting with our students. (For additional guidance, visit Handshake’s Help Center.)

To access Handshake, you will need to create an individual user account. Visit this link to create your account.

Important: Use your corporate email address when creating your account. Signing up with your work email will help ensure you’re connected to the correct company profile.

Before connecting with RMU, your user account must be linked to your company’s Handshake profile.

  • After creating your user account, check your email for a confirmation link to begin this process.
  • If your company already has a Handshake profile, it should appear automatically based on your email domain.
  • If your company is new to Handshake and does not have a profile, you’ll be prompted to create one.

Once your user account and company profile are set up:

  • Submit a request to connect with RMU through Handshake.
  • Your request must be approved through our Handshake portal before you can engage with our students.

After your request to connect with RMU has been approved, you can begin engaging with RMU students by posting job and internship opportunities on Handshake.
